I'd start by reviewing the event logs on your IAS server for reasoning as to why it's not authenticating your client.
Are you receiving an endless "Validating Identity" connection status when trying to connect to a wireless network.

In the next window click on the "Authentication" tab, Make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x...." checkbox is UN-Checked, the rest of this window should be greyed out.WPA2 is supported as i can connect to WPA2 personal APs. During the connection it flashes that it "connected" for a second then goes to "Validating Identity" which it eventually timesout on.I am using the Windows Wireless Connection Manager. On a couple of occasions I've seen that particular AP (don't know what firmware) suddenly stop attempting to authnenticate clients (it never sends any RADIUS requests) and power-cycling the AP "fixes" the issue.If your network is Encrypted go on to step 6 otherwise Click ok and try to connect to your network again.
In this window make sure you are in the "Association" tab.
Because I have a switch to disable the Wifi power, this seemed easier/safer, and it worked. thanks, Solution: remove whatever "preferred networks" are displayed in wireless netwok card's property page, n click ok. happens when u switch to a new router or use a new different SSID.
